Eagles Nest Children's Home Project Solola, Guatemala
Last year my daughter, Ann Marie, and I had the privilege of spending a week in Solola, Guatemala working with the children’s home and school. Many of you don’t know that Guatemala has closed its doors to adoptions and children’s homes like these are all that keep many of Guatemala’s children off the streets.
Before I left I asked the missionary what project I could help them with. The answer was to raise money for laptop computers for their school for the children to use. These days it isn’t enough just to teach a child to read and write. In this technological age they need to learn computer skills too!
They actually requested used ones, but the upkeep on 30 different computers of different models and ages just didn’t seem like a good idea. So our commitment is to raise enough money to purchase and transport 30 new laptop computers.
We need 30 individuals, businesses, churches, sunday school classes, small groups and civic organizations to commit to provide the funding to purchase one computer.
This is only a $350.00 donation! For as little as $350.00 you can provide a needy child with the tools they need to build a successful future!
Family Works Counseling has agreed to allow us to raise the money under their non-profit status so all donations you collect will be tax deductible. In the event that more money is raised than needed to purchase and transport the computers, the remaining money will be used to fund mission trips to The Eagles Nest.
You can donate your $350.00 by clicking on the donate button at the top of this page.
All donations are tax deductible!
