Johnny’s Mission Trip To Uruguay!
When I told my wife that I was going to Uruguay on a mission trip she asked, “When did you decide to go?” I thought for a second and replied, “When Drew asked me to.” It was really that quick. Truth is, the trip itself was a quick decision on part of the church, which means we have to raise our support quickly.
The first person I approached was me. I dug under the cushions of the sofa, looked under the seats of the cars, took all my stash money and came up with $400.00. Now I have to raise the remaining $1,600.00.
Uruguay is located on the eastern side of South America and has a population of around six million. Their national language is Spanish and the annual income is around $2,000.00 a year.
We will be supporting the local missionaries and their work there. What we know so far is that we will be:
- Help with fitting children with glasses
- Working on several building projects
- Evangelism
I understand we are in difficult economic times, which is why I went to myself first for the money for this trip. I didn’t want to ask you to invest in something I wasn’t already investing in myself.
